The tree is back up! Davey ended up buying a different stand for it and now it's nice an secure. It has lights and some garland on it but no ornaments. That will be a task for another day.
Isn't it just so pretty? I love long needle trees with white lights. They don't hold ornaments like the short needle trees do but they're so pretty!
My parents stopped by for a little bit this evening. Before Davey got a new stand my dad was going to help up secure it a little better. We didn't tell them we fixed the problem so they came over expecting to see a tree on it's side and found one that looked just fine. They then thought maybe the tree issue was just a pretense to get them over to tell them something.
Surprise! We're pregnant! (I'm pretty sure they already knew that.)
Honestly, we just figured they hadn't been over in a while and they'd enjoy seeing the boys either way. The boys sure liked it!
Advent Day 9
Matthew 1:18-21(HCSB)
18 The birth of Jesus Christ came about this way: After His mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, it was discovered before they came together that she was pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 So her husband Joseph, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her publicly, decided to divorce her secretly.
20 But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.”
