The Ermolds

Laura - I'm a wife to my wonderful husband Davey and a mom to two beautiful boys, Daniel and Micah. I grew up as an only sister to 4 brothers so this whole boy mom thing kinda fits. I graduated from Messiah College in December 2007 with a BS in Early Childhood Education. I taught second grade for 3 1/2 years and am now a preschool teacher at Grace Brethren Christian School in Clinton MD. My "dream job" is to be a full time stay at home mom but am thankful for the school where I work. With a nursery there for staff kids I get to see them throughout the day. A blessing indeed.

This blog is just a journal of our lives. Nothing fancy. I know I will never be a professional blogger or have many followers because, let's be honest, I'm not a great photographer nor do I have lots of neat DIY, fashion, cooking, or even teaching ideas.

Davey - My husband. (I stole this description from his blog http://awaitingthatday.wordpress.com/)

Davey Ermold was born and raised in southeast Pennsylvania. Growing up in a church with a vibrant youth ministry that sought to equip and train the next generation of Christian leaders, he was instilled with an intense desire to be involved with local church ministry. To that end, Davey attended Philadelphia Biblical University, graduating in 2006 with a B.S. in Bible and a B.Mus. in Vocal Performance.

Towards the end of his undergraduate program, Davey was encouraged to continue his biblical studies at Capital Bible Seminary, where he earned a Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Theology. His thesis, entitled The Soteriology of 2 Timothy 2:11-13, earned the Outstanding Thesis Award for a graduating Th.M. student in 2009, and has since been published in the Journal of Dispensational Theology.

After graduation, he served as Director of Campus Ministries, Resident Director, and Adjunct Professor, teaching classes in Bible exposition, biblical languages, and philosophy. While waiting on God’s timing for vocational ministry, he currently volunteers at Grace Brethren Church of Calvert County by leading worship, teaching, coaching the youth quiz team, and manning the sound board. Davey cherishes the opportunities that he has to impact the next generation of Christian leaders in all areas of local church ministry. As of 2013, he is a licensed minister in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches.

In addition to Bible and theology, Davey thoroughly enjoys reading up on political theory, history, and economic and monetary policies.
