Easter Egg Hunt

The kids and I enjoyed a fun time at an Easter egg hunt play date with our MOPS group today. There was a great turn out and I think all of the kids had a good time. There were options to dye eggs, play on the play ground and color Easter picture. Daniel took one of the pictures, turned it to the back side and made a picture for Pastor Dario who came out to check out the fun.

Nearly every time I turned around I had to search for Micah which was mostly okay. The back yard of the church has a gate which keeps the kids pretty well contained but we also had the door to inside propped opened. Twice I went searching for him and found him inside the church. The first time Dario found him before I could and the second time I caught him by the elevator pushing the button ready to go up. Ha! I can't keep track of that kid. He is definitely the independent/mischievous one!

Daniel is the social one who just wants to be around people. I never had trouble finding him. He was with the people...and the food!

Sleepy Girl

We decided to move Bekah from the rock and play in our room to the nursery. I didn't want to make the transition after going back to work in case it was a rough one. She has been sleeping SO well in the rock and play, only waking to eat once or twice at most each night. I didn't want to mess that up by moving her out of the cuddly rock and play to the flat crib. We made the move on Thursday and she did wonderfully! YAY! Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised, I'd want to sleep in that room too. I was afraid to blog too soon in case it was a fluke but she really is just a good sleeper. Praise the Lord! The boys definitely were not. I am so thankful to have a little one that is a good sleeper and doesn't want to eat 24/7.

SNAKES!

Since I'm on maternity leave I'm only bringing Daniel to pre-school a couple days a week. His teacher has sent home some of the projects that he's missed which he loves it. When learning about animals that live in dry places, his teacher had them make snakes with old neck ties. Such a fun activity!  We brought it back to school once he finished it so he could add it to their bulletin board.

Micah got jealous and wanted to make a snake too. So, I found an old (clean) sock and made him one. He was one happy boy!

One Month

This little girl is 1 month old already! It's funny because people are already asking us how it's different having a girl. At this point it's pretty much the same. Diaper changes look a little different but they all pretty much eat, sleep, and poop. She is a much better sleeper than the boys were, though!

She is such a sweet blessing in our lives. We couldn't be more grateful to our gracious Father for blessing us with her life. It is incredible to see her brothers love her with such heart. I ask God to help Davey and I to raise her with wisdom. I ask that she would come to know Him and love Him above all else.

Smells Like Spring

Yesterday was such a nice day after all the cold we've had this winter, we had to go for a walkt! It was wonderful to get out in the fresh, not so bitterly cold, air.

The boys love watching the water.

My first walk with all 3 by myself and Bekah's first trip to the boardwalk was a success! I don't plan on doing the grocery store any time soon though.

Dinner

On Friday night, Steve and Jenn and their kids came over with dinner. This was the first time their kids had the opportunity to meet their new cousin Bekah. Emma loved holding her. She didn't even mind when Bekah started fussing.

It was a joy to have them all over. And even nicer that I didn't have to cook! Thanks, Jenn!

Snow!

We made little a snowman on our deck.

Which Daniel promptly destroyed and threw over the deck. Such. a. boy.

After some play on the deck I took them to the side yard and pulled them on the sled for a little bit before deciding it probably wasn't a good idea for me to be doing that only 3 weeks after surgery...

Micah was upset because he wanted to go back on the deck to play. And he kept losing his book and had a difficult time getting up when he fell which was about every 3 seconds.

ICE!

After naps Tim and Joanna offered to take the boys back outside to play with the cousins. They had a grand ole time! This is the first year that Daniel has actually enjoyed playing in the snow. In the past the idea of snow has always excited him but if it touched his skin in any way he would freak out. It's way more fun now that he enjoys it!

Roomie Visit!

On Tuesday, my good friend and college roommate came to visit! She lives in DC but we're pretty sure it has been since Micah was born that we've seen one another. With conflicting schedules, me with kids, and her with no car, it's more difficult that I want it to be to get together.

It was so nice to have her come spend the day. She got to meet Baby Bekah and play hide and seek with the boys per Daniel's request. Throughout the day Micah kept going up to her and giving her hugs like they were best friends. It was pretty cute.

I'm so glad the weather didn't interfere with our plans. This needs to happen more often!

The Drive Through

A few days ago Daniel wanted to build a fort. I decided to build a "drive through" instead! The boys loved it!

Lot's of Lovin

Bekah is 3 weeks today but this was taken at 2 weeks. The quilt was made by my grandmother. Isn't it beautiful?
She is 8lbs and 20in long.
Hates a dirty diaper and diaper changes.
Loves to eat, sleep, and get smothered in kisses by her brothers.

My 3 babies each 22 months apart

Pool Fun

On Saturday, Davey's Aunt and Uncle came to visit and meet Miss Bekah (as Davey calls her). As a nice distraction from the cold and snow, we brought the boys to the pool. We have never taken them before. Needless to say, it was a hit! I am sure it means many  more visits in the future.
