Day 188:Thankful

Today Davey started a new job. His previous job situation wasn't the best work environment so we are extremely thankful for this new opportunity. His commute alone will be 1 hour less each day. Talk about saving on gas! He is working for a local family business- Eagle Tire and Automotive. And no he won't be working on any cars. Though we continue to pray daily that God would open the doors for Davey to enter in to pastoral ministry, I can't help but be thankful for all He has provided. We have to remind ourselves, often, that God's timing isn't ours. In fact it's better than ours. There are days when it is harder to trust in His timing than others but I have to remember that just having a full time job is something we were praying for a year ago.  Thank you Lord for directing our path even when we don't understand where you are taking us.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on  your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (HCSB)

This little boy was so excited to see daddy when he got home. All he wanted was to be held. Melt. my. heart.
