Okay I guess it's been a while. Merry Christmas and Happy New year! A few things have changed since July like me being 26 weeks prego. We are having another boy whose name will be Micah James.
20ish weeks along in this pic
I can't believe D is going to be a big brother!
D is now 18months old and weighs a whopping 33.5lbs! He is in the 100th percentile in weight and 92nd in height(34"). My boy is just massive. I'm pretty sure his head circumference is something like 100th percentile also. He is full of life and doesn't stop moving. He climbs on EVERYTHING and has no fear. He's going to be in for a big surprise when his little bro comes along! Right now he "knows" there is a baby in my belly and will lift my shirt to kiss him but he also thinks his belly is a baby. When we ask where the baby is, he will lift his shirt and say "bebe."
All the Pearson cousins (except Natalie) on Christmas Eve.
After the Christmas Eve service at our church we drove up to PA to spend the rest of the week with the Ermold clan. D loves it up there with his Grandma and "Papa" Ermold.
This past week I had the privilege of spending 5 days with a great group of young people at Momentum (a national youth conference held by CE National).
The theme for this year was "Unseen"which focused on people who are all around us. In James 1:27, Jesus encouraged his followers to care for the unseen, those that the world has passed by or ignored (from the unborn to the homeless to those in our paths who are hurting or lost). Who have you overlooked that God is calling you to "SEE?"
James 1:27
In learning to open our eyes to the unseen our students were also encouraged to make some personal commitments in their walk with the Lord. Several students made the commitment to be bold in sharing their faith with a friend and some surrendered aspects of their lives they have been holding back that God may use them. We even had some dedicate their lives to Full time Christian Ministry.
I am so excited to see God move in the lives of these young people. I pray they will be able to keep the commitments they have made and that they would continue to allow God to work in their hearts and lives through out this year.
Cheering on the bible quiz team!
Aaron Keys! Our worship leader for the week.
We just finished handing out hundreds of empty bags in the community for the a huge food drive. We passed out the bags with information for each family to donate canned foods that will help many in need in the Richmond Kentucky area.
This morning I was going to take Daniel for a walk and ended up at the playground instead. We were the only ones there (aside from the landscaping crew) so it was really nice! I was able to let him explore with no fear of other kids getting in his way or him holding up the line at the slide or something.
This summer I have really wanted to make some home made popsicles with fresh fruit for the little man (and for myself). Since I didn't feel like going to the store to buy any fresh fruit I decided to see how a fruit cup would work out. So yesterday I filled a popsicle mold with the entire contents of a fruit cup and this is how it turned out! Looks pretty good to me. I gave it to Daniel today while were playing outside and he LOVED it!
I was working on my scrapbook of Daniel's 1st year (which I plan to finish this week!) and couldn't decided how or where to use this paper my sister in law bought for me. I didn't want to cover up all the cuteness that is this paper with pictures never to be seen again. I also thought about cutting it up like I do sometimes and use parts of it as accents on other pages. I didn't really want to do that either though. I liked it too much as a whole.
SO I found an old foam picture board I had made years ago but don't use anymore and had this great idea. I took the ribbon and fabric off and cut the board down to the size of the scrapbook paper, glued yellow crape paper to the edges of the board to help hide the rough cutting job and decoupaged the scrapbook paper to the board. Since the ribbon on the origional board was blue I decided to use it instead of finding something new. Now, I can enjoy the cuteness of this paper all the time!
finished product!
(Yes, I know. I didn't use a ruler and the ribbon isn't exactly evenly spaced but I don't really care.)
With pictures in it!
(These were at the top of my scrapbook pile)
And here's a video of Baby D!
He pretty much lives in this little corner. He's always climbing up there.
Today we went out to play in the sand box and Charlie decided to take a dip in the pool...fully clothed! All the way down to her socks! Then very shortly after Daniel followed suit! They had a grand ol'time! Who needs a bathing suit!?
Here are some pictures and videos of his first year of life.

Happy First Birthday Monkey Boy!!!
For his birthday I made Monkey cupcakes that I saw on Pinterest. (I would link to the origional page but the browser can't find it.)
here are pictures of the ones I made!
I made Daniel's cake in a pot pie pan. I didn't want to make a whole cake just for him to destroy but wanted something a little bigger than a cupcake. This worked out great. I baked two pot pie pans of cake and stacked them, frosted them, and created a monkey face.
Below is the idea I got from pinterest! They turned out so cute! I made chocolate buttercream icing. (Way easier than I ever imagined!) Then decorated with Nilla Wafers and jell icing. I mad them the day before his party and the only issue I found was that the nilla wafers became a little moist. I took the cookies off before eating my cupcake but the kids still loved them.
